Action Photography - Tips

Posted in Art and Graphics with tags , , , , , , , on May 21, 2008 by winningsites

When you’re out shooting action shots make sure that you don’t always have the subject in the middle of the frame. Take your time in placing the subject in the right place and your pictures will instantly improve.

Plan your position in advance, don’t just turn up for an event expecting to be in the right place. Look where the subject will be when you want to take the picture. Work out where the sun will be at the time of shooting. Do you want the subject to be well lit (sun in front or side) or do you want to take silhouette style shots (subject in between you and the sun).

Make sure you use the surroundings so that the action leads your eye into and out of the picture. Shoot, from different angles, some low, some high shots and from different distances. In other words don’t shoot every picture from the same position

Google Artists Themes

I don’t know if many people know about this but I have just discovered Google Artist Themes. here

Just click on this link and you can select whatever theme you like and almost instantly the headers in Google change to one of the set you have selected. Even better than that each time you open Google it displays a different picture for the selected set.

They certainly liven up an otherwise basic screen display and no doubt it won’t be long until there are third party sets available.
